enterprise task four

Who else is out there- how good are they?

who am I competing against?
what do they offer?
what make me better?
what makes me different?

I LOVE DUST

I love dust is a multidisciplinary design boutique that specialises in a range of media including illustration. In the future they would be a competitor  as they can provide a range of services and will already have a strong client list where as I wouldn't. I would need to be different from them and feel if i was working a lone clients may appreciate me have there full attention.
However because I would be working alone I would need to charge more money than bigger companies as they would have more clients and more people to do the work.

enterprise task three

How will I promote myself?
to promote myself successfully I will need to create a business card that tells people my name, what im about and how to contact me. it needs to be rememberable.
I will also create a postcard of the same design and send them out which i think will be a great way to show of my skills and it is something you can keep and look back on if someone ever needs my skills.
However I will need to think about who I am targeting. I need to aim to send these postcards off to big companies as I think if I got work it would be on-going and not a one time thing.

Enterprise task two

Who are they, how will they find me?
My clients will be people looking for an illustrator for books, magazines, articles, postcards etc
I will be found by a company/design studio.
Where are my potential clients/employers located?
design studios
what media do my potential clients/employers use?
they will use a large range of media including, hand drawn/rendered, vectorised, photoshop and illustrator
what do you need to communicate and how does it match what your clients/employers needs?
They will communicate my skills and style and show a variety of my design work

These images are from a blog that I found. They're mostly to do with packaging and have a lot of album covers in again which is a topic that I am interested in.

From this blog I found a design company called N/A

They do fashion work, this is from the section "topshop unique"
